The PALM 400 - acronym for 'Precision Attack Loitering Munition' is a long-range, high-precision loitering munition system.
It is the result of a joint venture between AVision Systems (Israel), UVision Air Ltd, and Aditya Precitech Private Ltd (APPL).
It is built to fly over areas where armored vehicles are concentrated or are anticipated.
Each PALM 400 selects its targets when armored vehicles enter the kill zone and launch an armor-piercing projectile, penetrating it from the top where there is least protection. -
It is created by AVision Systems, a joint venture between Israeli firm UVision Air Ltd and Hyderabad-based Aditya Precitech Private Ltd.
It is designed to fly over armoured vehicle concentrations, or areas where they are expected.

At the Defexpo fair held in India from February 5 to 8, UVision announced a joint venture with the Indian Aditya Precitech. This new company, called Avision, will span a large range of activity for Loitering Munitions Systems such as the design, manufacture, sales, maintenance, support, upgrading, and lifecycle management. The company will especially focus on systems already in service and combat-proven under the brand PALM (Precision Attack Loitering Munition) Hero Systems. AVision aims to address the needs of the Indian defense and paramilitary sectors that can implement this type of ammunition drone.
